Harare- Plastics and plastic products manufacturer, Proplastics Limited, has announced the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Kudakwashe Leo Chigiya, effective 19 February 2025.
The company confirmed the leadership shift in a statement released to stakeholders, emphasising gratitude for Chigiya’s dedication and contributions to the company’s growth during his tenure.
Chigiya, who steered Proplastics through a dynamic period in Zimbabwe’s manufacturing sector, steps down after years of service marked by strategic expansions and operational setbacks.
While no specific reason was cited for his departure, the move signals a pivotal transition for the company as it navigates evolving market demands and competitive pressures.
In the interim, Paschal Changunda, the current Financial Director, will assume the role of Acting CEO.
Changunda, a seasoned executive with deep familiarity of Proplastics’ financial and operational frameworks, is expected to provide stability while the Board searches for a permanent successor.
His dual expertise in finance and strategy positions him to maintain continuity during the transition period.
