Public Holiday
Wednesday, 23 August 2023, was declared a public holiday for the purposes of polling for the 2023 harmonised elections. The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) was therefore closed on Wednesday and resumed on Thursday, the 24th of August 2023.
EGM Notice: Border Timbers
Border Timbers Limited announced that the Extraordinary General Meeting of shareholders held on 18 August 2023 was adjourned to fulfil the meeting notice requirements of the Articles of Association and is to be held physically at 4 – 12 Paisley Road, Southerton, Harare, and virtually by electronic means via the link https://escrowagm.com/eagmZim/Login.aspx, on Monday, 28 August 2023, at 1000 hours, for the purpose of transacting the same business as the adjourned meeting.
Results of Renounceable Rights Offer: Truworths
Truworths announced the results of its Rights Offer which closed on 09 August 2023, in which 90.1% was subscribed while 9.9% was taken by the Underwriter. A total of 384,067,512 shares were offered on the Rights Offer, and 345,971,161 ordinary shares were subscribed. The Rights Issue managed to raise a total of ZWL$2,227,591,570 and the shares were issued and listed on ZSE on the 21st of August, 2023.
