- Happiness Vundla appointed new CFO
- She joined Edgars as non-executive director last year
- The appointment is effective from September 1
Harare - Zimbabwe Stock Exchange listed clothing retailer, Edgars Stores Limited has appointed Happiness Vundla as the chief finance officer (CFO) with effect from 1 September 2021.
Vundla is a chartered accountant in Zimbabwe with over thirteen years of experience and is pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst.
In a press statement released yesterday, Edgars chairperson, Themba Sibanda said Vundla joined the Edgars Group on three December last year as a non-executive director.
Vundla had been overseeing internal and external reporting in her role as the member of the Audit Committee and contributed as part the leadership team that have steered the group through the impacts brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before joining the group, Vundla served as finance director for Sub Sahara Africa Group Zimbabwe.
Sibanda said the Board congratulates her on the appointment and wish her well in her new role.
