The Board of Directors at African Sun Limited issued a notice to stakeholders on the retirement of Dr. E.A. Fundira as Chairman and Non-Executive Board member, effective 29 June 2023, having completed his term of office. This was followed by the appointment of Mr. Constantine Chikosi as the Chairman of the Board, effective from the 10th of July, 2023.
Following the Extraordinary General Meeting of shareholders of Lafarge Cement Zimbabwe, held on the 7th of July, 2023, stakeholders are advised that the resolution was passed and Lafarge Cement Zimbabwe Limited successfully changed its name to Khayah Cement Limited. The name will therefore be changed in the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company and all other documents relating to the Company.
Truworths held an Extraordinary General Meeting of shareholders on the 4th of July, 2023 regarding the Renounceable Rights Offer. On the 7th of July, the Directors of the Company advised shareholders and the investing public that the resolutions of the meeting were both passed, and these are the approval of capital raising by way of a Renounceable Rights Offer, and the approval of the Underwriter and Underwriter’s fees as nil.
The Directors of Unifreight issued a notice to Shareholders of the Company and stakeholders that the 53rd Annual General Meeting of members will be held at 1000 Hours on the 23rd of July 2023 in the History Boardroom of the Royal Harare Golf Club, 5th Street Extension & Josiah Tongogara Avenue

Caledonia Mining Corporation alluded that amid the ongoing underground drilling program at Blanket Mine which targets depth extensions, a circa 5,600 metres of drilling have been completed between January 2023 and the end of May 2023, and approximately a further 12,900 metres are planned for the remainder of 2023. Deep level drilling resumed in January 2023 and is currently focused on the Eroica ore body where a crosscut has been mined to allow optimal access to drill the deeper zones of the steeply-dipping ore body.
Cautionary Statement: Border Timbers
Border Timbers Limited (BTL) reported that the Company received an offer from an agricultural entity, Cicada Plantations Zimbabwe (Private) Limited (CPZ), whereby CPZ seeks to acquire 100% of the issued share capital of BTL, and simultaneously make an offer to acquire 100% of the issued share capital of Makandi Estates (Private) Limited, a complementary agricultural concern, in exchange for CPZ shares. While waiting for communication from Directors on the consideration of the offer, shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the securities of Border Timbers.
